Honey Heals Chronic Dandruff, Scaly, Itchy Scalp (Seborrheic Dermatitis)

Amazingly, something as simple as crude honey has been found to alleviate an embarrassing scalp condition that most body care products and drugs can't even make a dent in, like chronic dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis. We should not be surprised by these remarkable results. Honey has been considered one of nature's most remarkable gifts to mankind since ancient Indian (vedic) civilization. In ancient Egyptian culture honey was the most popular drug mentioned: 500 times in 900 remedies.

American Woman Sues Border Agents after Alleged Sexual Assault and Forced Medical Treatments when Re-entering U.S.

In 2013 we published too many stories about forced medical treatment by coercion. For example, we published the story regarding John Wrana, the WWII veteran who just before his 96th birthday was tasered and shot with bean bag rounds in his managed care facility, which resulted in his death, simply for refusing to go to a hospital for a urinary tract infection. The investigation regarding his death is still pending and we expect to publish an update here in 2014. We saw other stories where children were taken away from their parents and forced to receive medical treatment against the wishes of their parents, including one teenage daughter who has been held by Boston Children's Hospital for over ten months and has still not been released. In this news report from KOB Channel 4 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, an American woman, who was returning to the United States from Mexico, was allegedly sexually assaulted and forced to have medical treatments against her consent, simply because a dog supposedly indicated she may have illegal drugs in her body somewhere. She was stripped and searched. When they did not find anything, she was forced to have X-rays and a CT Scan which turned up negative. She was billed $5,000.00 for the forced medical treatments. She was also allegedly subjected to a "cavity search" several times, all without a warrant and without her consent. The ACLU has taken up her case and filed charges for unlawful search and sexual harassment.

Veteran Prosecuted for Keeping Chickens in Backyard

A town in Iowa prosecuted a veteran who was keeping a few chickens in his back yard, trying to raise healthy food for his family. He was censored during the trial from testifying about the health benefits of home-grown food, or testifying to the fact that all his neighbors supported him. Learn more about why there is a growing movement around the U.S. by American families who want to raise their own fresh healthy food, and are fighting city ordinances for the right to do so.

BMJ: Escalating Criminal Behavior by Pharmaceutical Companies due to Insufficient Penalties

This editorial written and published in the British Medical Journal does a good job of explaining why criminal settlements against pharmaceutical companies do NOT stop criminal behavior in the pharmaceutical industry. 20% of all corporate crime is now committed by pharmaceutical companies, and those are just the cases that are litigated and settled. The problem with corruption in scientific studies that are used to approve drugs do not even come up in litigation. As Sidney M Wolfe points out in this article published last month in the British Medical Journal, the fines and penalties levied against corporations are just to0 small, and they are simply considered as part of the "cost of doing business" which lead to higher drug prices passed on to the consumers.

Gardasil: My Daughter’s Worst Nightmare

Cancer is a frightening word. Any parent in the world would do whatever was in their power to protect their child from this terrible disease. I had no idea adding Gardasil to our list of protective measures would turn our lives into a nightmare. My beautiful 12 year old daughter, Allie, was a victim of Gardasil and I believe that had she been given the 3rd Gardasil shot, it would have killed her as she barely survived the 2nd shot. The authorities will not acknowledge this as yet, but someday they will, and until then I will be the advocate for my child. I will decide what medications she needs and what vaccinations she needs or does not need. I will do the research and investigate the adverse effects of all drugs. I strongly urge anyone reading this to do the same. Do your research. KNOW what they are putting into the bodies of our children!

10 More Young Women File Criminal Complaints due to Injuries from Gardasil Vaccine in France

Criminal complaints have been filed in France against yet to be named defendants regarding severe injuries after Gardasil vaccinations. The complaints were filed by Camille Krouchner on behalf of ten young women, ages 18 to 24, suffering from a variety of autoimmune disorders including lupus, Guillain-Barré, ADEM, idiopathic hypersomnia and multiple sclerosis after being injected with the HPV vaccine, Gardasil.

Health Impact News in 2013 – The Year in Review

A review of the most-read stories at Health Impact News in 2013 will reveal a much different list than what one will see as the top stories for 2013 on mainstream media news websites. For example, the terrorist attack during the Boston Marathon is ranked as one of the top stories in 2013, if not the single most important story of 2013. While this was certainly a major story in 2013, let's look at some perspective in terms of its significance. The terrorist attacks in the Boston Marathon reportedly killed 3 people, and injured 264 others. It was a tragic event, to be sure, affecting the lives of hundreds of people. But in terms of deaths or lives affected by injuries, is it the top story of 2013? Probably not. Here are a few other stories that actually were covered in the mainstream media, with far more people affected, but will probably get no mention on the last day of 2013 in the mainstream media: 1. Deaths by hospital errors now the 3rd leading cause of death in the U.S. 2. Over-the-counter Ibuprofen is Killing and Injuring Thousands of Americans 3. U.S. Ranks First in Healthcare Spending – Last in Life Expectancy Of course the one story that affects many thousands of American's lives and gets virtually NO mainstream media coverage, is the issue of injuries and deaths due to vaccines. This is the one subject that is taboo in the mainstream media, and could easily be the top story in 2013. A search in the U.S. VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reports) database for 2013 on the last day of the year returns the following results: 1,582 serious adverse vaccine reactions, and 107 deaths, with 72 of those deaths under the age of 3. Headline news for 2013, but completely censored in the mainstream media. Read More.

Children Taking Powerful Antipsychotic Prescription Drugs has Nearly Tripled

The number of children taking powerful antipsychotic drugs has nearly tripled over the last 10 to 15 years, according to recent research. The increase comes not because of an epidemic of schizophrenia or other forms of serious mental illness in children, but because doctors are increasingly prescribing the drugs to treat behavior problems, a use not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). And a disproportionate number of those prescriptions are written for poor and minority children, some as young as age 2.

U.S. Operators of Drones Suffering: Suicide and Antipsychotic Drugs are Result After Watching People Killed Repeatedly

We have previously reported about the widespread abuse of over-prescribing drugs to veterans, and the high suicide rate. In this new story just published in The Guardian, a woman who worked on the US drone program reveals that suicide and prescription drug abuse is also a problem with drone operators, who have to continually watch people killed, many of them innocent victims of the drone program.

Seven out of every 10 Physicians in California are Rebelling against Obamacare

An estimated seven out of every 10 physicians in deep-blue California are rebelling against the state's Obamacare health insurance exchange and won't participate, the head of the state's largest medical association said. Independent insurance brokers who work with both insurance companies and doctor networks estimate that about 70 percent of California's 104,000 licensed doctors are boycotting the exchange. Mazer, a past president of the San Diego County Medical Society, agreed, saying, “I cannot find anybody in my specialty in the area that has signed a contract directly with any of these plans." Mazer said that not only are many doctors not participating, but many are also thinking of retiring. “I just turned 55, and a lot of us are kind of going, ‘Maybe there’s something else we can do in the last 10 years,’ because this is just getting too onerous to keep on going.” If a large number of doctors either balk at participating in the exchange or retire, the state’s medical system could be overwhelmed.

Child Taken Away from Parents for Medical Reasons Dies in Foster Care

WREG News Channel 3 in Memphis has reported on the story of an 11-month-old child who died while in custody of the Department of Child Services (DCS). DCS had reportedly removed the child, along with his 2-year-old sibling, from the home of their parents because they suffered from "digeorge syndrome", which limits delay of essential body functions. DCS had judged that the parents did not have "sufficient training" to properly care for their children. So the two children were placed in foster care. They were to be returned to their parents in October, but the father reportedly lacked a one-hour course. The father died in a car accident in early December. The 11-month-old child died while in foster care in November. Paramedics reportedly found the child in the foster home with a "wet wipe" stuffed in his mouth. We report these stories on Health Impact News, because medical tyranny is increasing in the United States, and these stories are not as rare as you might think. All across America, children are being taken away from their parents for differences in opinion about medical treatment, or because the State believes they can raise children better than parents. The choice of parents to choose their own medical care for their children is increasingly being taken away all across the country. While protecting children from situations where they are in danger is a legitimate concern, the system in place today is too often corrupted by financial incentives, or arrogant medical personnel overstepping their bounds of authority and forcing their beliefs and values on those unable to resist or fight back.

What is the Purpose of Your Sickness?

The idea of our sickness being a result of our sins is not a popular message today, because our humanistic culture is built upon the foundation of Darwinian evolution, and it has taught us to believe that all sickness is a result of natural causes that we can control in our environment. The drug companies have developed a medicine or vaccine for just about every problem now with this belief system. If they cannot find a cause for the sickness in the natural realm, they usually just cite the cause as "stress" and give a pill for that too. The spiritual realm, including sin, is usually not even acknowledged. While it is certainly true that our environment, the physical realm, can cause us to be sick, we should first examine ourselves and see if there is a spiritual cause. Sin is very real, and it has very real consequences in our physical bodies. If God is disciplining us through our sickness, then physical remedies (natural or medical) will probably not work.

Why Are Babies Dying in China After Receiving the Hepatitis B Vaccine?

At least nine babies have died in China the past few weeks after being injected with the Hepatitis B vaccine. The deaths, which have occurred within a very short time after receiving the vaccine, are gaining wide exposure in the China media. Because vaccines are almost always promoted as safe, injuries and deaths often are not associated with the vaccine, so there may be more deaths than have currently been reported. One of the deaths was reported by a family member after hearing about other babies dying shortly after receiving the vaccine in the media. When the family originally was fighting to save the baby from dying, they had not suspected the vaccine. Reaction in the media and the medical community in China is in stark contrast to how news like this is often reported in the U.S., where the mainstream media is reluctant to report any negative news regarding vaccines, and most doctors refuse to even acknowledge the risks vaccines carry. Here are some quotes from the China media: "Doctors also warn that the hepatitis B vaccine is not suitable for all newborns. Those suffering from fever, weak immune system, low birth weight or serious eczema should not be given the vaccination." "As the investigation continues, medical experts are reminding parents that infants don’t need to receive hepatitis B vaccines immediately after being born. They say it’s ok for parents to wait until the investigation results come out, before deciding whether they want to use the vaccines or not." In the U.S., one never reads any cautionary advice like this, in spite of the fact that deaths and serious adverse reactions do occur often.

True Cost of GMOs Seen in Hawaii: 80% Loss in Papaya Market due to GMO Papayas

When discussing the impact of genetically modified crops, what is seldom mentioned is the economic impact of introducing GMO crops. While the science behind GMOs can certainly be debated, the economic impact is not debatable, but a reality. Earlier this year (2013), we published an article from the Alliance for Natural Health (ANH) titled: Lack of GMO Labeling is Reducing our Exports and Costing the U.S. Jobs. Regardless of what the science says, the fact is that consumers overwhelmingly do not want to consume GMO foods. 69% of the world's population live in countries that label and restrict GMO foods. So every time the United States approves another GMO product, which has been shown to NOT be controllable in the environment, inevitably cross-pollinating with non-GMO seeds, we drastically restrict our export market to our trading partners that refuse to import GMO products. In a report just published in The Modern Farmer, Jesse Hirsch documents the development and economic impact of GMO papayas in Hawaii. While the GM papaya was developed to solve a problem (diseases in papayas that were destroying crops), the unintended result was that Hawaii's largest customer purchasing Hawaiian papayas, Japan, refused to buy them once they were genetically modified, reducing the market by 80%.

The Meat Additive Banned in 160 Countries, But the FDA Claims It’s Safe for Americans

Ractopamine is banned from food production in at least 160 countries around the world, including countries across Europe, Russia, mainland China and Republic of China (Taiwan), due to its suspected health effects. Since 1998, more than 1,700 people have reportedly been “poisoned” from eating pigs fed the drug. If imported meat is found to contain traces of the drug, it is turned away, while fines and imprisonment result for its use in banned countries. While Americans are largely unaware that the drug is even used, many other nations seem to be far better informed. Fear that the ractopamine ban might be lifted brought thousands of demonstrators onto the streets in Taiwan last year, demanding that the ban remain in place. In February of this year, Russia issued a ban on US meat imports, warning it would remain in place until the US agrees to certify that the meat is ractopamine-free. As reported by Pravda, Russia is the fourth largest importer of US meats, purchasing about $500 million-worth of beef and pork annually. At present, the US does not even test for the presence of this drug in meats sold.

Nearly 300 Scientists and Experts Agree GMOs not Proven Safe

The number of scientists and experts who have signed a joint statement saying that GM foods have not been proven safe and that existing research raises concerns has climbed to 297 since the statement was released on 21 October. Dr Angelika Hilbeck, chair of the European Network of Scientists for Social and Environmental Responsibility (ENSSER), which published the statement, said, “We’re surprised and pleased by the strong support for the statement. It seems to have tapped into a deep concern in the global scientific community that the name of science is being misused to make misleading claims about the safety of GM technology.” The statement indirectly challenges claims by EU chief science adviser Anne Glover that there is no evidence that GM foods are any riskier than non-GM foods.

Russian Food Security Experts Fight GMO Registrations in Supreme Court

A group of scientists and food security experts have taken the Russian Government resolution, which will allow the registration of GM crops and products containing GMOs from June 1, 2014, to the Supreme Court. On December 16 the group, which includes representatives of non-profit organizations and experts in the field of biological and food security, filed a suit in Russia’s Supreme Court to challenge the adoption of Russian Government Decree 839 of 23 September 2013, regarding the state registration of GMOs. According to the experts, this Government resolution violates the constitutional rights of Russian citizens, including the right to a healthy environment, and food safety information.

Vitamin D—One of the Simplest Solutions to Wide-Ranging Health Problems

Increasing levels of vitamin D3 among the general population could potentially prevent chronic diseases that claim nearly one million lives throughout the world each year. Incidence of several types of cancer could also be slashed in half. Vitamin D fights infections, including colds and the flu, as it regulates the expression of genes that influence your immune system to attack and destroy bacteria and viruses. Feeling tired and achy is a frequent complaint. While many are misdiagnosed as having fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue, these are classic signs of vitamin D deficiency osteomalacia. The remedy is a combination of vitamin D and calcium. Researchers estimate that 50 percent of the general population is at risk of vitamin D deficiency and insufficiency. Among school aged children, that percentage may be as high as 70 percent.
